I’m Renee

I’ve been working in the wedding biz for over 10 years, and I love nothing more than love (and a glass of fancy shiraz).

I’m here to become your wedding day bestie, your coordinator and/or celebrant of honour, your on-the-day ‘yes’ girl, and the bringer of good vibes.

When I’m not making your guests laugh while you stand under the arbour, you’ll find me working as a combat clerk in the army. Crazy – and very different – I know.

I’m a workaholic, passionate about colour-coded spreadsheets (no, I’m not kidding), obsessed with hilarious wedding films like Bridesmaids and Father Of The Bride, and diligent about ensuring your Big Day is coordinated and officiated to perfection *chef’s kiss*.

I’m a lover of travel, karaoke, animals, and, of course, love.

There’s nothing better than heading into your Big Day, knowing the most important elements are taken care of by a dream team you adore and trust.

 

When I’m not working closely with Renee, you’ll find me travelling, helping my family out on our farm, or hanging out in the kitchen baking up a pretty tasty storm.

 

A fun fact about me? I’ve recently been working in the USA and Mexico, managing over 750 cheeky kids on summer camp. So, if I can handle that, then what’s a few wild wedding guests?!

Renee is INCREDIBLE. I was recently a celebrant at a wedding that Renee was coordinating. I wouldn’t look further if you need a wedding coordinator OR a celebrant. She does both, what a LEGEND… As soon as I arrived I was greeted with THE BIGGEST SMILE and friendliest human being on the planet. Renee helped me unpack and get organised all while helping other vendors and greeting guests. This absolute legend literally helped me, even when I didn’t know that I needed it. I almost wish I wasn’t married just so I could have hired her for my special day. If there were more stars than 5 she would literally get the whole entire sky!

We got married in September 2022 and our day could not have run more smoothly. Help me Hitch, did just that, we didn't worry about a single thing on the day and were just able to stay in the moment instead of worry about what was happening next. Not only that but we had so, many laughs along the way, particularly in the last couple of days in the lead up to the day. We and our guests loved Renee!

We could not have pulled off our 3 day wedding fest without Renee & the team from Help Me Hitch! We were in the planning phase of our big day during covid, and Renee was incredible at staying in contact via email, instagram & zoom, she created the most beautidul & inviting space for us to ask allllll the questions! She even helped so much with our runsheet for the day & all the finer details that we defintiely wouldn't have thought of! On the day, Renee was sadly unable to join us but Amy was incredible & did an amazing job of being everywhere & even nailed our grazing table! Thank you guys so so much, you're the best!

My Wife, Kristy and I chose Renee from Help Me Hitch to be our celebrant and coordinator for our wedding. We were so grateful and glad we chose her to handle our wedding day! As a celebrant, Renee gave our wedding the personal and intimate feel we were looking for as she took us and our guests on a journey of our love story. This gave our ceremony a unique vibe and allowed for our love to be highlighted. As a coordinator, we spoke with Renee several times in the lead up to the wedding day and she was never far away if we needed to reach out and ask questions. She is full of energy and her enthusiasm for her job is evident. We highly recommend her!

Renee is a magician, a Wonder Woman, and an all round angel! I cannot emphasise enough how crucial Renee was to the success of our wedding day. She did absolutely everything we asked, and about a million things we didn’t think to ask, just to see our day go off without a hitch. Every chat with Renee was a delight, and simultaneously reassured me and gave me a solution to a problem that felt unsolvable, or some much needed perspective on what had previously felt like a major problem. By the time we actually met in person on the day of the wedding, I felt like I was meeting an old friend. She is an absolute treasure and her services were without a doubt one of the best investments we made for our wedding.

Renee is amazing! We had Renee as our Celebrant and wedding coordinator. Not only is she amazing at what she does, she is just a beautiful person to get to work with. We wanted our friend to perform the ceremony and Renee to do all the legalities and she worked with us and our friend to create the perfect ceremony to suit us. On the day she was running around like crazy, checking in on everyone and ensuring everything was set up and ready to go for the ceremony and reception as we had a DIY venue. She is worth every cent, not only on the day but in the lead up to it, as she managed all our vendors and we didn’t have to do any of the chasing up, confirmations etc. ourselves. I was seriously the most relaxed bride in the lead up and on the day thanks to Renee!

What can I say! Renee was great. After a postponement and then a cancellation and then an intimate micro wedding, Renee was there! She was great to communicate with and thought of many details. On the day she was calm and efficient and popped up at just the right times for an update. She took on some weird duties (like filming the vows as we didn’t have a videographer and ensuring the boys had ironed shirts!) and just helped out in all the little ways. Our wedding was just beautiful and Renee just helped ensure it all went smoothly. Thanks again hun and sorry we made you cry! Xx

5 things you didn’t know about me

I balance and walk on a very narrow tight rope, I’m either rocking lashes and a dress or bruises and boots! I love to work (Hi I’m Renee and I am a workaholic) and I am lucky enough to be able to say I have the BEST two jobs! A wedding celebrant and coordinator and a combat clerk in the Army! I call it balance 💁🏼‍♀️💁🏼‍♀️

I lived full time in a van for two whole years, during covid, with my son! It was the best two years ever and it was exactly what my soul needed during that time. To slow down and chill out! We spent endless days down at the beach, watched whales as we ate our lunch and woke up to the sounds of nature! #vanlife

People say I should be a comedian! Literally every wedding I get told this, or that I should be on radio! I love making people laugh, to feel welcome and like I am part of the family at your wedding. I want people to ask you ‘how long or where do you know Renee from’ as if I am part of a friendship group from high school or a work colleague.

You will always see me on the dance floor regardless of my alcohol intake which these days is none, one drink is too many for me!!! I am enough without alcohol…trust me! Anyhoo you will often see me carving up the dance floor at weddings! Challenge me to a dance off?

I am a person of service! I love connection, helping people and going above and beyond for others. I love to lighten the emotional and physical load of others and sometimes take on waaaaaay too much for myself but secretly I thrive in high adrenaline and highly stressful situations. See told you I was crazy! 🤪

5 things you didn’t know about me

For the past 5 years I’ve been travelling and working in the USA and Mexico travelling to incredible locations and helping to run and manage over 750 children at sleep away summer camp! If I can handle that, what’s a few wild wedding guests?! 🤷🏼‍♀️ ⁠

I am a karaoke queen 👸🎤 any song, any genre I’m your girl. You’ll always find me singing my own personal theme song or humming my favourite tune for the day (probably a song over used on TikTok 🙄) #addicted. ⁠

I love keeping busy, sitting still is not for me. Whether I’m helping herd cattle on my families farm or busy in the kitchen baking up a storm I’m always moving. I’ve been known to cook a mean mud cake, clean the house and annoy my cat, Merlin🐱all at the same time. How’s that for multitasking 💁🏼‍♀️

Speaking for my cat, my family and I have over 20 pets on our property. From cats and dogs to parrots and snakes even a few horses, goats, peacocks and guinea pigs, it’s like we have our own private petting zoo in our back yard. ⁠

🎶 I’ve been everywhere man 🎶 most recently from the rural town Broken Hill, I’ve moved around A LOT! I’ve lived in almost every state of Australia (except for TAS and ACT) with my dad working in the Air Force when I was young we were never in one place for too long. Maybe that’s why I’m so good at talking and making new friends everywhere I go 🤔🤔
